"LIFE For ME"

My future lies hidden before me;
Clouded images cover what I foresee;
Dark thoughts are instilled deeply in my mind,
Ravaged by the ruins of the world made so unkind.
But hopes and prayers are what keep me alive,
Future or not, I await wherever it is I will arrive.
For in the place of blindness, there is always light,
Bearing in conscience to do what is and should be right.

As I have dreamed of a Utopian way of living,
Though the days may give me challenges of unforgiving;
That dream of perfection, pure goodness, and true honesty;
So real a feeling that I almost reached beyond or infinity.
Then again, nothing is perfect, infinity is unreachable,
More so, the Utopian way of living, practically impossible.

What I have now is plain reality mixed with illusion,
Unfortunate or not, there is yet a single conclusion.
For life is but a mystery that suddenly unfolds,
So I care not what lies ahead and what my life holds.
There is only one certainty present in me,
That my will and my heart run my life freely.
